Tell us about your background in Physiotherapy.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from Saint Paul University of Iloilo in 2016. I got my license the next year and started working right away. My first job as a Physiotherapist was at my university’s hospital where I worked for almost 4 years. I have handled a variety of patients from Pediatric to Geriatric cases. I have also encountered different types of cases such as in the neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, orthopedic and cardiopulmonary areas. I have gathered experience both in private and government hospitals over my 5 years of experience.
What are your interests?
I love listening to music! It is my escape from reality especially from having to work in a physically demanding job. I also love traveling and staying active by playing badminton with my friends and doing home workout routines.
Tell us about a life-changing experience or adventures you’ve been on.
One life-changing experience I would say is working in another city ~450 miles away from my hometown. I learned that I am able to adapt quickly to the new environment. Learning a new language on the spot was definitely a challenge but I was able to get by it. I also learned a lot about myself personally and professionally thru this opportunity of living independently.
What is the most fulfilling part of the job?
The ability to make a big impact on every patient’s journey to recovery.
